As a soon-to-be married couple ourselves who enjoy working at events & weddings getting to work together is a huge plus! Having worked together recently in the past we think our clients get to benefit from our joint venture. Together we are a talented team ready to blend our creative vision and style with your unique needs to capture all of life's special moments - both big and small! And by booking our photography coverage and DJ/KJ services together eliminates the need to deal with multiple vendors.

Together our businesses can be a Bride and Grooms answer to a wedding with a variety of packages beginning at $1,300.  That enables us to provide value at every level!

We are committed to serving the Dallas and Fort Worth area with something unique. With hundreds of vendors to choose from, it can sometimes be difficult figuring out where to begin, let alone what to spend and we’ve developed a process that produces some fun and unforgettable events at prices that won’t break the bank.

And yes, our services are offered separately but why not save by bundling our photography and DJ entertainment together? If you're interested, just email us at teamjenkins79@gmail{dot}com for a complete pricing list or questions.

We'd love to hear from you!!

Special Delivery

team jenkins 79, destination wedding, sweating for the dress, insanity, nike free 3, shakeology, shayla j, healthy lifestyle, get fit, lose weight
These should be delivered to me sometime today and I can't WAIT to wear them!!

After starting Insanity a few weeks ago Kawon heard me mentioning that I needed some new shoes and offered to get me some. (Cool points!) For the past 3 weeks I've been wearing my running shoes to workout in when I should be wearing cross training shoes that allow for side to side movement. So, I'm anxious to try them out.

For a quick Workout Wednesday update, my workout program is going well! I'm working out first thing in morning by 7am during the week and by 10 on the weekends. It helps me if I have it scheduled for the same time everyday and a huge plus is getting my workout before I start my day and not having to worry about it later. Of course, I'm still drinking my shakes every morning and really believe this stuff helps me out in so many ways from the vitamins and the energy I have. Plus, depending on what I put in them they're so filling and definitely curb my appetite, and I need all the help I can get.

Let me know if you're getting fit too! I'd love to follow your journey!

Work Out Wednesday

Sorry it's been awhile since I've posted a Work Out Wednesday. Since my last weight loss update a few things have changed, so let me catch you up to speed.

I finished up a round p90x, well, I actually stopped about about two weeks shy of completing it. Unfortunately, I let the holiday's get the best of me and kind of stopped working out. I did continue drinking my Shakeology shakes daily, didn't over indulge and I would occasionally go for walks but that was about it. And I'm happy to report that I didn't gain any weight. But I didn't lose any either.

I did like the p90x program and it was working too but I got bored with it. I need to slim down and there wasn't enough cardio in the program for me. Would I recommend the program to anyone sure, but I've decided to switch things up and try a round a Insanity.

I started Insanity this past Monday the 14th and all I gotta say is that it's called Insanity for a reason. The fitness program is no joke and I feel like I'm gonna either pass out of throw up while I'm doing it but I'm not giving up. I completed day 3 today and other than the soreness so far so good. I'm up at 6:30 everyday getting my workout in and I follow it up with the most healthiest meal of the day Shakeology. The rest of my day of my day is spent eating healthy and trying to resist bad habits when it comes to food. I'm a believer in you can have anything in moderation but I know that I will get much better results if I'm more strict with what I put in body body.

Even though I haven't finished Insanity yet, I'm a believer. So much so that I signed on to be a Beachbody coach! I'm committed to being a product of the product. This is the kind of program that if you, finish you are almost guaranteed great results. In addition to the workouts through the beachbody program Shakeology is amazing. I noticed a huge difference when I tried some samples and that's why I chose to order it. I truly believe that even though I wasn't working out for the past month the fact that I was still drinking my Shakeology daily is the reason I didn't gain any weight.

Today's Lunch. First time trying this out and it
was good, however, I didn't care for the red onions
or the broccoli.

If you have any questions about any of the programs that I mentioned above, please let me know. I'd love to help you out with YOUR weight loss journey.

Wedding Planning Update

This past week I finally received the samples of card stock and envelopes that I had ordered and with the exception of be swatch, they are all exactly what I wanted! I'm in the processor of placing my order and can't with to actually get started on making my wedding invitations.

5x5 envelopes and card stock

Washi Tape for some DIY wedding projects

This past Monday marked 5 months to the day of our wedding and I began to stress a little. At times I can be a last minute person but not when it comes to my wedding. I emailed my local bridesmaids to set a date to get together to go over some things for the wedding and when we couldn't decide on a date I had a mini meltdown. But everything's okay now and for the most part I'm feeling better. We still haven't decided on the bridesmaid dresses and I'm a little worried but we still have some time left. Kawon and his groomsmen, however, are getting together this month to go find suits so hopefully I'll be able to mark that off of my to do list.

I also decided that we're not going to have a cake toppers because I just couldn't find one that I liked enough and think that flowers will work just fine. We're also planning on doing a sand ceremony but I wasn't too fond of just pouring the sand into a plain vase so I found a shadow box that we'll have engraved to pour the sand into.

Other than that not, much else has been done but hopefully February will be a little more productive. At that time I'll be able to get much more detailed information from the resort on what my options are as for food, flowers and decor so I can work on some more details for the ceremony and reception. I the meantime though, I've been thinking about what I want for my bridal shower and I'm super excited to see how it all comes together.

Wedding Invites

I'm not that much of a DIY'er but after searching the internet for months looking at wedding invitations I've decided to make my own.

Being that we're having a destination wedding I like the boarding pass style invitations or the passport style but wasn't feeling 100% about the design options. Of course I want something different but there are a million different things out there to chose from. I haven't actually started working on them yet, but I know what I want and that's a huge deal for me. Like I've said it a million times before I've become so indecisive when it comes to choosing what I want for my own wedding.

During the Christmas holiday I decided on the design, went to Michael's to buy card stock and requested samples of envelopes and additional colored card stock online. I also bought a paper cutter and rounded corner cutter while at Michaels for some other DIY paper projects for the wedding and ordered some washi tape from Etsy as well.

It feels good to have another task checked off of my to-do list! I'm still waiting on my samples to arrive for the paper & envelopes, but as soon as they arrive I can't wait to get started and see everything come together. I'm still debating whether or not I'll share the design of the invitations online before I send them out but you'll get to see the soon enough. : )

5 months and counting!!!

Twenty Thirteen

I was so incredibly blessed in 2012 and I'm looking forward to making lots of new memories in this next year!

There's so much in store for 2013 for our family and I can't wait to see what the next 12 months will bring! 2013 will be a busy year and I pray that God allows me to see it through.

To celebrate 2012 coming to a end and welcome the new year Kawon and I went to the San Francisco Rose to celebrate. Kawon was working the karaoke that night and since Kameron was with his grandmother for the evening I didn't want to stay at home alone so I ventured out too. Totally not planning on going out at all that evening I didn't have a NYE outfit picked out and I missed the memo on the black & white attire. Oops!

Here's a glimpse of our night. (Photos courtesy of the The Rose)

We started the year off with a lazy day on the couch and no traditional New Years day food but we were together and that's all that matters.

Here's to 2013!
